About
Swami Makarandnath
As the spiritual successor of Swami Madhavnath, Swami Makrandnath has been a transformative Sadguru in the Nath Sampradaya for nearly three decades, with a dedicated focus on guiding the youth. He tirelessly enlightens aspirants through profound discourses on a vast body of sacred works: the Gita, Dnyaneshwari, Dasbodh, Tukaram Gatha, Eknathi Bhagvat, Vedanta, and the pristine path of Soham meditation.
Residing primarily in Pune, Maharashtra, he is a guiding light for countless seekers on the path of self-realization and surrender to the Guru. He was the most ardent disciple of Swami Madhavanath Maharaj, who appointed him as spiritual successor. Swami Makarandnath lived a life that was simple on the outside, but radiated a powerful spiritual presence that could be felt deeply by those around him.
Paramarth (परमार्थ):
He is teaching that true spirituality lies not in rituals alone, but in inner transformation — through selfless action, devotion, and Guru's grace.
Given Spiritual Responsibility
On 29 September 1992, Swami Madhavnath officially passed on the responsibility of continuing the spiritual tradition of the Nath Sampraday to him.
Balance of material and spiritual life:
Today, Swami Makarandnath leads the Nath Sampraday with love, wisdom, and dedication. He gives spiritual talks, initiates sincere seekers, and provides personal guidance on how to walk the path of Self-Realization.
Though he holds an important position, he always says that everything he does is in service to his Guru.
